Our Services

Pruning

We can determine the type of pruning necessary to maintain or improve the health, appearance, and safety of your trees. This includes removing limbs and branches that interfere with power lines or buildings, removing dead, diseased, insect-infested, or weak limbs that are a hazard or could lead to tree decay, creating better structure to reduce the risk of damage during a storm, training young trees and improving the shape of the tree, and removing branches to increase light penetration.

Tree Preservation Planning

Before making any changes to land through construction, it is essential to involve an arborist in the planning process. Changes in the grade of the land, compaction of soil, trenching, and more construction practices can permanently damage any trees that are present. We can provide suggestions for how to protect your trees for potential construction damage.

Fertilization

Our urban, landscaped soil often does not contain sufficient nutrients that trees require to function and grow. We can have your soil tested to find the nutrients in which it may be lacking. Fertilization can improve the growth of trees and reduce the risk of disease and insect-infestation, however, if not applied wisely, it may not benefit the tree and can even adversely affect the tree. We can analyze your soil conditions to provide the proper fertilization regimen.

Removal

Tree removal is always a last resort, although there are some circumstances when it is necessary. We have many years experience removing trees safely and can help you decide if removal is the best option. Usually, it is recommended when the tree is dead or dying, hazardous or interfering in a way that is not possible to correct with pruning, crowding other trees, or located in an area where new construction requires removal.

Tree Risk Assessment

All trees except for the youngest and smallest of trees pose a potential risk from failure due to storms, diseases, or unsound structures. We can assess your risk and recommend the proper measures to reduce the risk of tree failure and damage to your property.

Cabling and Bracing

It is often possible to reduce the risk of tree and/or branch failure and increase the life of the tree by installing cables and braces for supplemental structural support. We can help you decide whether or not this is a good option for your tree.
